ADJUSTMENTS
DANGER:
Laser radiation. Avoid direct eye contact with light
source.
WARNING:
Use of controls or adjustments or performance of
procedures other than those specified herein can
result in hazardous radiation exposure.
TO ADJUST THE LASER GUIDE
See Figure 43.
Set miter and bevel angles to 0º and lock in place.
Use the work clamp to secure a piece of scrap wood.
Plug the saw into the power source and make a slight
cut to score the wood.
Release the switch trigger and allow the saw blade to
stop rotating before raising the saw arm.
Using a padlock, lock the switch trigger to make the saw
inoperable.
Turn on the laser guide.
Rotate laser adjustment screw #1 (yaw adjustment)
clockwise or counter clockwise until the laser is parallel
with the cut in the wood.
Rotate laser adjustment screw #3 (lateral adjustment)
until the laser line is parallel against the left edge of the
score line.
Move the saw arm up and down, and inspect the laser
line position. If the laser line drifts out of position as the
saw arm moves, lift the saw arm to its full height, and
rotate laser adjustment screw #2 (tilt adjustment) left or
right until the laser no longer moves.
NOTE: The laser should remain parallel against the left
edge of the kerf of the blade during the full movement of
the saw arm.
Repeat the steps above until the laser is properly aligned.
NOTE: If laser does not align correctly, return to your nearest
Authorized Service Center for repair.
