OPERATION
This product will accept RIDGID 18 V lithium-ion battery
packs and RIDGID 18 V nickel-cadmium battery packs.
For complete charging instructions, refer to the Operator’s
Manual for the battery packs and chargers for your models.
INSTALLING/REMOVING THE BATTERY
PACK

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Wipe the battery pack, worklight, and charger with a clean,
dry cloth periodically to remove any dust or debris.
BULB REPLACEMENT
See Figure 4, page 9.
Turn the worklight OFF.
Allow the globe to cool before removal.
Remove the battery pack from the worklight.
Using a flat blade screwdriver, remove the four screws
that attach the globe to the worklight.
Carefully remove the globe.
NOTE: The bulb will not function with the globe removed.
The globe must be replaced and screws assembled
before turning on the light.
Remove protective shock absorber from bulb.
Carefully remove the 9 Watt fluorescent bulb from its
socket. Screw the new bulb into the socket and make
sure it is secure. Do not overtighten.
NOTE: Always use the correct replacement bulb. Replace
the bulb with the same type rated 9 Watt, 120 V, or ask
for replacement bulb number 019372001019. Using a
40 Watt incandescent bulb or any other type of
incompatible bulb in this worklight will cause the overload
protection feature to shut off the worklight.
Replace protective shock absorber onto new bulb.
Carefully place the globe over the fluorescent bulb as
shown, aligning the tab on the globe with the notch on
the head of the worklight.
NOTE: The bulb will not function with the globe removed.
The globe must be installed and screws assembled before
turning on the light.
MAINTENANCE
Insert and tighten the four slotted torx screws, using a
flat blade screwdriver.
NOTE: It is illegal to discard fluorescent light bulbs in the
trash. Broken bulbs require special handling. Check with
Federal, State or Local Authorities for both proper disposal of
fluorescent bulbs and clean up of broken fluorescent bulbs.

BATTERY PACK REMOVAL AND PREPARATION
FOR RECYCLING
WARNING:
Upon removal, cover the battery pack’s terminals
with heavy-duty adhesive tape. Do not attempt to
destroy or disassemble battery pack or remove
any of its components. Lithium-ion and nickel-
cadmium batteries must be recycled or disposed
of properly. Also, never touch both terminals with
metal objects and/or body parts as short circuit
may result. Keep away from children. Failure to
comply with these warnings could result in fire
and/or serious injury.
WARNING:
When hanging the worklight by its retractable
handle, always be sure it is securely in place to
prevent the worklight from falling. Failure to do so
may cause damage to the light or serious personal
injury if the worklight falls.
