TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM CAUSE SUGGESTED CORRECTIVE ACTION
Brake does not stop blade
within 5 seconds.
1. Motor brushes not seated or
lightly sticking.
1. Inspect/clean/replace brushes. See
MAINTENANCE section.
2. Motor brake overheated from
use of defective or wrong size
blade or rapid On/Off cycling.
2. Use a recommended blade.
3. Arbor bolt is loose. 3. Retighten.
Motor does not start.
1. Fuse problem. 1. Check time delay fuse or circuit breaker.
2. Brush worn. 2. Replace brushes. See MAINTENANCE section.
Brush sparks excessively
when switch is released.
